With fewer than 100 days to go, I’m starting to think about life after 365, or 366, this year being a leap year. I started this project on a complete whim. When I took pictures on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of January this year I had no idea what a journey I’d embarked on. The fact that I’m still doing it and haven’t (yet) missed a day amazes me. There have been times when it’s been close or when inspiration has just by-passed me, but so far, I managed to take and publish a photo for each day of the year.
But what happens on 1st January 2009? Do I hang my camera up and return to the occasional post and upload? Do I carry on and see how far I can get? At times I’ve just pointed and shot for the sake of the project and felt that I haven’t concentrated on improving my photography. Perhaps it’s time to take a deep breath, relax and think about where and how far I want to go.
