I hadn’t seen this ceremony since I was a kid. The roads are closed, the band plays, the soldiers march and the crowd gathers; everyday.

Greys and greens.
There may come a day, some months from now, when the garden has dried to a cinder because it hasn’t rained for weeks, the pond has almost no water and the water butts are empty so it can’t be topped up and it’s so damned hot that I can’t work in my office, that I’ll look back on this picture and think “I wish it was January again.”
